Football players play hard. In order to do so they have to train even harder. When it comes to their down time it is understandable that they play a little hard as well.
Especially if they just won a ton of money at the Kentucky Derby like Wes Welker did Saturday.
The veteran wide receiver for the Denver Broncos has been known to take in the most exciting two minutes in sports. He did so again last weekend and apparently got pretty lucky.
So he did what anyone else would do—he started giving his winnings away.

Exactly how much Welker bet and won has not been made public, but it was enough that the track had him escorted by a police officer. Maybe Welker was just being nice or maybe he had one too many mint juleps, but he handed out hundred dollar bills until his escort stopped him.
