A no run twofer.

The New York Yankees shut out the Chicago Cubs Wednesday 5-0 at Yankee Stadium, 3-0 in the afternoon game and 2-0 in the night game.

Masahiro Tanaka allowed just two hits with 10 strike outs through eight innings in the first game and Michael Pineda pitched six innings of four-hit ball as the Yankees had their first doubleheader shutout sweep since 1987.

Believe it or not the Cubs have never won in the Bronx. During the 1932 and the 1938 World Series trips they were swept by the Yankees who then years later also swept a three-game interleague series in 2005, the only other time the Cubs have played the Yankees in New York.
