Andre Cureton is a promising player that played OG for Cincinnati and has the ideal size for an offensive lineman to succeed in professional football. He is a a versatile player who has natural football instincts and superior knowledge of the game and it is very hard not to notice his invaluable contribution to the offensive line on his highlight reels. He has the work ethic, talent, heart, and determination to succeed as a professional football player, and will reward the team that signs him.
Q: What is the fondest memory of your college career?
A: My senior the first year a lot of friends and family came to the game but didn’t know I was going to start and hearing them yell my name as I ran onto the field was my finest memory.
Q: Who was the toughest competitor you faced in college?
A: I don’t remember his name but he was #59 on UCONN. He was like 6’4” and very strong and I was not used to that.
Q: What was your best game in college?
A: Against Memphis because we had a 100-yard rusher for the first time. To go on the road and be able to that was probably the best game.
Q: What colleges recruited you out of high school?
A: Western Central, Eastern Michigan, Purdue, IU, Western Kentucky
Q: What made you choose Cincinnati?
A: They were the first school to offer me. The coach came to a basketball game to talk to me and said if we went up to camp he would offer us a scholarship on the spot.
Q: What was your favorite NFL team growing up?
A: Baltimore Ravens
Q: Who was your favorite player?
A: Ray Lewis
Q: Which current NFL player most resembles you?
A: Michael Oher because he plays the game the same way I do.
Q: What will distinguish you from other rookies?
A: My size and being able to move the way I do and the time I spend in the film room studying opponents in order to get the upper hand on the field.
Q: What would your former teammates say about you?
A: That I’m a great teammate, great to be around and that I want to win.
Q: What are you presently doing as far as training?
A: Working out at the University of Cincinnati with Joe Walker the strength coach in order to get ready for the regional combine.
Q: How did you do on your pro-day?
A: I did well, I ran my 40 had great times, did the shuttles. I thought that I did a good job and was pleased with the overall results.
Q: Which is your favorite event?
A: 20-yard shuttle. Its one of the drills that have to do well or you will never get better.
Q: How was the agent selection process for you?
A: probably not like everyone else although I did receive some interest and talked to a lot of agents.
Q: Why did you choose John Hernandez and Agency Athlete?
A: Because he showed interest in me, he got to know me and he seemed trustworthy and that he had true interest in me and my career.
Q: If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be and why?
- Ray Lewis, favorite FB Player, would love to pick his brain about the game.
- Shaq- he was always my favorite B-Ball player and since I was always the tallest kid growing up, it was kind of my nickname.
- Halle Barry- self explanatory.
Q: What do you want to do besides football?
A: Go back and get my master degree and become a lawyer.
Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: I like to read, go to the park, and play games, movies.
Q: If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
A: Pit Bull because of my tenacity.
