Not cutting the mustard.

After signing a $13.7 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs last year cornerback Dunta Robinson was released by the team on Friday.

Robinson did not perform up to expectations last season while playing in eight games with only two starts.

By releasing Robinson the Chiefs will save about $3 million on the 2014 salary cap.

Robinson, who turns 32 in April is now free to sign with any team as an unrestricted free agent and he will not have to wait until the start of free agency on March 11th.
