No.1 bites the dust at home.

North Carolina went into Michigan and not only knocked off No.1 Michigan State but did it with authority with a stunning 79-65 victory Wednesday night.
 
UNC built a two digit lead in the first and Michigan State rallied to tie the game at 32 at halftime but the Tar Heels took control in the second half to complete the impressive victory.
 
Five UNC players scored in double digits but Kennedy Meeks led the Tar Heels with 15 rebounds and seven rebounds with one assist while Brice Johnson contributed with 14 points and five rebounds.
 
Gary Harris led Michigan State with 17 points with four rebounds and Adreian Payne added 16 points with nine rebounds.
