Josh McCown took a litle bear nap.
Football fans watching the Chicago Bears/Baltimore Ravens game saw just why Chicago is called the Windy City Sunday. With tornado warnings in the area the teams had to head to the locker room and the fans to the concourse.
Game delays are no fun. How do you stay game ready while not knowing when you are going to play? Each player does it his own way, but Bears backup quarterback turned starter Josh McCown had the best way—he took a nap.
“I closed my eyes and just tried to think about the game, and I think I dozed off,” he said.
With the adrenaline of the game flowing through him you would think he would be too amped up to sleep, but apparently he wasn’t. It paid off in the end too. McCown went 19-31 on the day for 216 yards and a touchdown en route to a 23-20 overtime win.
