Back with Rex.

Ed Reed, the veteran safety who was released by the Houston Texans on Tuesday for apparently bad mouthing the coaching staff and team, has agreed to terms on a contract with the New York Jets.

Reed is expected to be on the Jets practice field today but it is unclear if he will play this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

The veteran safety is familiar with Rex Ryan’s defense, having played for him with the Baltimore Ravens, so he should pick it up quickly and I am sure Reed will be extra motivated to play a week from Sunday when the Jets play the Ravens.
