Career over?

The Houston Texans released former Baltimore Ravens nine-time Pro Bowl selection free safety Ed Reed today and he is considering his options, including the possibility of retiring from the NFL.

After an intense courtship by the Texans, Reed left the Ravens in March to sign a three-year, $15 million contract with Houston.

Reed has not been the stellar player this year that he has been in the past losing the starting job to Shiloh Keo.

If Reed decides to retire, he may sign a one-day contract with Baltimore in order to officially retire as a Raven.
