Blow out turned into a nail biter.

No. 3 Oregon boasted during the week that they would get revenge for last years loss against Stanford but the No. 5 Cardinals held on to defeat the Ducks 26-20 after a wild fourth quarter.

Stanford lead 23-0 at the end of the third quarter and led 26-0 before Oregon put their foot on the gas and got rolling.

A touchdown pass, a blocked Stanford field goal attempt and run back 65 yards for a touchdown, an onside kick recovery and another touchdown pass and the Ducks were within six with just over two minutes to go.

The ensuing onside kick try was recovered by Stanford and the dramatic comeback try fell short.
