Talk about a rookie mistake.

The Houston Texans cut three rookies on Monday, Defensive end Sam Montgomery, outside linebacker Willie Jefferson and running back Cierre Wood were cut by the team for a rules violation at the Texans' hotel in Kansas City on Saturday night.

According to numerous reports, Montgomery, Jefferson and Wood were smoking pot in their hotel room, obviously breaking team rules, not too mention a few others.

This is not Jefferson’s first drug issue as he was dismissed from the Baylor football team because he failed numerous drug tests.

All three players were inactive on Sunday.
