Bears in Trouble.

Chicago Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler has a torn groin muscle and is expected to miss at least four weeks, while linebacker Lance Briggs has a small fracture in his left shoulder and will be out around six weeks.

Both Cutler and Briggs were injured in Sunday’s 45-41 loss to the Redskins at FedEx Field.

Cutler got hurt while being sacked with 9:54 left in the first half and remained down for several minutes before he slowly limped to the sideline with assistance.

Briggs was injured in the third quarter trying to twist and extend away from a block.

While Cutler’s injury is the first serious injury this season on the offensive side of the ball, the defense has been decimated. Briggs is the second LB out, two starting defensive lineman are out for the season and CB Charles Tillman’s knee continues to bother him during games.
