Cubs lose again.

Once again the Chicago Cubs have lost out as the New York Yankees signed manager Joe Girardi to a 4-year deal on Wednesday.

Girardi was Cubs president Theo Epstein’s first choice to replace recently fired manager Dale Sveum and once again they lost out to the Yankees.

It has been reported that Girardi's contract is worth $16 million total, plus bonuses, a $3 million raise from his previous contract.

It will be interesting to see who the Cubs do bring in. They should have hired Ryne Sandberg two years ago when they had the chance.
