Another one bites the dust.

After being eliminated by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the NL wild card playoff, the Cincinnati Reds fired manager Dusty Baker on Friday.

Baker managed the Reds for six seasons and led them to the playoffs three of the past four years but they were eliminated in the first round each time.

In his career, Baker managed the San Francisco Giants to the National League pennant in 2002 and the Chicago Cubs to the NL Central Division title in 2003, and the Reds to NL Central titles in 2010 and 2012.

With 1,671 wins Baker is ranked 16th all-time and is second among active managers. He was Manager of the Year three times.
