According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have benched veteran quarterback Josh Freeman and will start third round rookie Mike Glennon.

Freeman has not played up to the expectations that the Buccaneers had hoped after picking him with the 17th overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft.

Throughout his NFL career Freeman has been inconsistent and only showed flashes of the ability he showed in college.

Freeman is in the last year of his rookie contract and the way things are going, my guess is that his days with the Bucs are over and that he will be looking for a new team next season.
