After Week One of the regular season it appears that the Miami Dolphins may have a mini-diva to deal with in the locker room—new wide receiver Mike Wallace.
During the Dolphins 23-10 win over the Cleveland Browns Wallace only had one catch for 15 yards. After the game he was apparently not very happy about that. When reporters tried to talk to the prize free agent acquisition he brushed them by saying he didn’t feel like talking.
Someone must have said something about his production because he did direct the media to “ask coach” about the game plan since he didn’t draw it up.
Wallace is likely upset because he was not targeted as much as Brian Hartline (15) or Brandon Gibson (10). While they did see more opportunities than Wallace they also did more with them catching nine and seven respectively.
Five passes were thrown his way, but Wallace only caught one.
