Sound Advice.


After Notre Dame was plummeted by Alabama in the National Championship game in January, Notre Dame Head Coach Brian Kelly reached out to New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick for advice.
 
The two coaches met when they played in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am last February and a friendship was formed.  
 
After working together on some charity events, Belichick offered to come to Notre Dame in March to scout some draft prospects, Kelly asked him if he would look at some video and evaluate the defense.
 
Belichick gladly accepted, he was all for it. He spent about a day and a half working with the Irish coaching staff and offered sound advice in understanding the concept of the game and making adjustments as the game unfolds.  
 
Kelly and the coaching staff embraced Belichick's advice and slightly changed tactics.
