Tom Brady Mentor Tom Martinez Dies
Tom Martinez, the longtime personal coach and mentor to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, died Tuesday after suffering a heart attack while receiving dialysis treatment in Redwood City, CA. He was 67 years old.
Martinez and Brady have been working together since he was a teenager in San Mateo, where Martinez coached at College of San Mateo and his mentorship continued throughout the quarterbacks NFL career with the Patriots.
Prior to the Super Bowl Martinez said that that he always enjoyed working with Brady and watching him play and Brady said that Martinez taught him how to throw a football, and that he was “forever indebted” to him.
