Broncos Hire Jack Del Rio as DC
The Denver Broncos have hired former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Jack Del Rio as defensive coordinator.
It will reunite Broncos head coach John Fox and Del Rio, who was Fox’s first defensive coordinator with the Carolina Panthers in 2002.
Del Rio becomes the Broncos seventh defensive coordinator in seven seasons following Larry Coyer in 2006, Jim Bates in 2007, Bob Slowik in 2008, Mike Nolan in 2009, Don Martindale in 2010 and Dennis Allen in 2011.
Allen left the team to become head coach of the Oakland Raiders.
