It’s Official—Jim Caldwell Released by Colts
Written by Travis Pulver, Tuesday January 17 2012
A move was expected sooner rather than later by the new general manager of the Indianapolis Colts, Ryan Grigson, in regards to the future of head coach Jim Caldwell. On Tuesday that move was finally made when Caldwell was released after three years with the team.
That leaves one major question unanswered for the Colts, and that is whether there will be an absolute break from the past whether it is because Peyton Manning retires or is released.
At least Grigson has a few weeks before he has to make that call (likely with the input of owner Jim Irsay).
