Mavericks Delonte West Banned from White House Visit

The reigning NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks will be visiting the White House on Monday but one player on the team, Delonte West, has been banned from making the visit after President Barack Obama’s security team ran a background check on him.
West, who was arrested on a high profile weapons charge two years ago and also allegedly had an affair with LeBron James mother, will not be allowed to step foot on the grounds of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
"I'm banned from going to the White House, so I'm not going to make it,'' West said on Sunday.
“That's what happens when you make bad decisions in your life. It's going to be a shame the president isn't going to get a chance to meet me. I'm the president of my house.''
