Cubs Trade Zambrano to Marlins

The Chicago Cubs traded Carlos Zambrano to the Miami Marlins for right-hander Chris Volstad.
Zambrano will be joining former Chicago White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen, who let it be known when he was hired that he was interested in acquiring the Cubs former ace.
The 6-8 Volstad went 5-13 last season after going 12-9 in 2010. One thing that might not bode well at Wrigley Field is that he has given up 69 homers the past three seasons.
With the Cubs, Zambrano was not only known for his pitching but for his tirades in the dugout and locker room during and after a bad outing. He had big issues controlling his temper.
In 2007, he got into a physical fight in the dugout with Cubs catcher Michael Barrett which then continued into the locker room.
In 2009, in a disagreement with the umpire after being ejected, he threw a baseball into the outfield, slammed his glove against the dugout fence and then pretended to eject the umpire earning him a suspension.
In 2010, Zambrano got into a verbal altercation with Derrek Lee after which he was placed on the restricted list for six weeks and sent to anger management.
Then after being ejected during a loss to the Atlanta Braves on August 12, he cleaned out his locker and left the ballpark with threats of retirement while the game was still going on.
It turns out that it was the last time that Zambrano will pitch for the Chicago Cubs.
