Bears GM Search Could Take Awhile
Written by Nolan Thomas, Wednesday January 04 2012
For those Chicago Bears fans hoping the team finds a new General Manager quickly don’t hold your breath.
The Bears are looking for a proven draft and talent guru with a winning record so they will probably not be hiring anyone until at least next month after the Super Bowl on Feb. 5.
This is because most of the names that they possibly have in mind to fill the position are currently in the playoffs.
Some people have thought the Bears would snatch up former Indianapolis Colts GM Bill Polian, but in my mind that would not be a good move considering he was fired mostly for the same reason Jerry Angelo was, not having a decent backup quarterback on the roster.
