Three NFL Coaches, Two GM’s Shown the Door
Written by Nolan Thomas, Monday January 02 2012
There were three NFL head coaches fired on Monday, the first day after the last day of the 2011 regular season.
The biggest news was that the Indianapolis Colts cleaned house as head coach Jim Caldwell, vice chairman Bill Polian, general manager Chris Polian, and all of Indy’s current staff, one day after clinching the first pick in the NFL Draft in April.
The St. Louis Rams fired head coach Steve Spagnuolo along with general manager Billy Devaney following a 2-14 season which tied them for the worst record in the NFL with the aforementioned Colts.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers fired head coach Raheem Morris following a 10-game losing streak to end the season. As the Bucs coach for three years Morris posted a 17-31 record.
