Will Someone Please Buy a Ticket to a Bengals Game--Please?
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday December 26 2011
At the beginning of the season it was not surprising for the seats at Paul Brown Stadium to be a little empty on game day. The Cincinnati Bengals had lost its marquee talent; the coach was rumored to be almost gone. Ownership didn’t appear to care what product was put on the field on Sundays.
Then a crazy thing seemed to happen. These guys actually won a few games.
Going into the final game of the season against their hated division rival, the Baltimore Ravens, one would think that the game would be a guaranteed sell out when it is anything but, with the stadium often a third empty.
To help that along they have offered season ticket holders a buy one get one free deal (they may look to offer the general public a deal in a few days).
“We had a very enthusiastic stadium last week,” head coach Marvin Lewis said Monday. “…I think people who haven’t seen us play in person will have a good time…”
With a 9-6 record I think it is safe to say that he might be right.
