Bulls Give Derrick Rose 5-Year Extension
Written by Nolan Thomas, Tuesday December 20 2011
The Chicago Bulls and reigning MVP Derrick Rose have agreed to a five-year contract extension worth approximately $94 million.
Considering all that Rose has accomplished in only three years in the league, it is not surprising that the Bulls wanted to lock him up for the next five years.
Rose won Rookie of the Year, has been an All-Star in every season and was named the leagues MVP last season, the youngest player to ever win the award, joining Michael Jordan as the only Bulls players to ever win it.
Last season Rose averaged 25 points and 7.7 assists a game.
Rose is a local Chicago boy playing for his hometown team who was drafted No.1 overall in 2008 after leading Memphis to the National Championship.
