Rex Ryan Says His Team Best in New York
Written by Nolan Thomas, Tuesday December 20 2011
With the battle of New York teams this Saturday, Jets head coach Rex Ryan began the trash talking by saying that his team is better then the New York Giants.
Rex Ryan has fired the first shot in the Battle of New York between the Jets and Giants.
“I recognize that they’re an excellent football team, but I think we’re better,” Ryan said.
Currently the Jets are 8-6 and hold the final AFC wild card spot while the Giants are 7-7 and a game behind the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
Both teams got smoked this past week with the Jets getting blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles 45-19 and the Giants chocking at home in losing to the Washington Redskins 23-10.
This Saturday’s game has huge playoff implications for both teams as the loser will probably fall by the wayside and be watching the playoffs this year from the comfort of their homes.
