Colts Win Packers Lose
Written by Nolan Thomas, Sunday December 18 2011
The Indianapolis Colts won their first game of the season and the Green Bay Packers lost their first game of the season on Sunday.
With Dan Orlovsky at quarterback the Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans 27-13 for their first win to avoid becoming only the second team in NFL history to go 0-16 in a season.
After trailing 6-3 at the half, the Colts scored 14 unanswered points in the third quarter and never looked back.
With Kyle Orton starting his first game at quarterback and Romeo Crennel in his first game as interim head coach, the Kansas City Chiefs handed the Packers their first loss of the season with a 19-14 victory.
The Chiefs held the Packers scoreless in the first half and took a 6-0 lead into the locker room.
The 1972 Miami Dolphins have uncorked the champagne once again as they will remain the only NFL team to have a perfect season.
