To Worry or Not to Worry: Week 15

You count on your key players in the playoffs more than ever. A couple of key pieces have sputtered recently. Should you be worried?

Michael Turner, Worry

Don’t panic, but I don’t think Turner will put up the monster numbers you want this time of year. He played a weak Panthers run defense last week, and now faces a tougher Jaguars run defense. Not to mention, he has a groin injury that isn’t totally hashed out yet. I'm expecting another average week from him. Up to 10 points or around there. By all means start the guy (unless you're stacked at RB), but don’t expect spectacular numbers.

Mike Wallace, Worry

Wallace hasn’t put up 70+ yards since week 8, and there is no reason to believe he will this week. He might lose his starting quarterback (Roethlisberger is in a walking boot) and he is going up against a pretty good defense in the 49ers. The 49ers haven’t allowed many touchdowns through the air or on the ground. With Wallace’s latest performances, and a backup quarterback under center, I can't see much good coming out of this.

Michael Vick, Worry

In his last three starts he hasn’t had more than 12 fantasy points and that should say it all. He played a mediocre Dolphins pass defense and couldn’t get much going. Now he plays the 6th ranked pass defense of the New York Jets and we expect it to get better? I don’t think so, especially with all the times Vick has gotten hit recently. That pressure against some of the best corners in the league doesn’t add up too well in my book.

Andy Dalton, Do Not Worry

Dalton is going up against a strong St. Louis Rams pass defense, but I am confident in his abilities. I think he is a great young quarterback and should put up some good numbers for your fantasy team in the playoffs. Even though his stats have gone haywire recently, I am still confident in his abilities. I think he will definitely put up some solid numbers and defy what recent statistics have shown.

Good luck to everybody in their playoff games!
