Chris Paul Officially Headed to L.A. But Not Lakers
After a week of turmoil NBA star Chris Paul is officially headed to Los Angeles after a trade was approved by NBA Commissioner David Stern, but it is to the Clippers and not the Lakers.
The Hornets have traded Paul to the Clippers for guard Eric Gordon, forward Al-Farouq Aminu, center Chris Kaman and a first-round draft choice.
Paul, 26, is entering his sixth season in the NBA. A four-time All-Star, he averaged 18.7 points and 9.8 assists a game last season.
With Gordon, Aminu and Kaman going to the Hornets it gives the team needed depth and gives them the opportunity to increase the strength of their roster through free agency.
