Steelers LB Harrison Suspended One Game
The NFL Suspended Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison after his helmet-to-facemask hit on Browns quarterback Colt McCoy last Thursday. Harrison has already filed an appeal.
Harrison was penalized for roughing the passer on the play and believes that the hit did not warrant a suspension as well.
The suspension makes Harrison the first player to miss a game as a penalty under the NFL’s new policy on such hits.
It was the fifth illegal hit on a quarterback in the last three seasons by Harrison and he also has been fined twice for unnecessary roughness during that time period as well.
