Coaches Haley and Sparano Fired
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Todd Haley and Miami Dolphins head coach Tony Sparano both got the ax on Monday as they were both fired after losses on Sunday.
After winning the AFC West last season, the Chiefs fell to 5-8 after Sunday’s 37-10 loss to the New York Jets Haley was shown the door. Defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel will serve as the Chiefs’ interim coach for the final three games of the season.
After losing 26-10 to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Sparano was notified by Dolphins owner Stephen Ross that after the team had three losing seasons in a row for the first time in franchise history under him that he was fired. Assistant head coach Todd Bowles will take over as interim head coach for the rest of the season.
