Texans Clinch AFC South for First Ever Playoff Spot
Written by Nolan Thomas, Sunday December 11 2011
With their seventh straight win, the Houston Texans clinched the AFC South and earned their first ever playoff spot.
They had to wait however once the game was over before they knew their fate as they needed to huddle around a TV in the locker room to see the outcome of the Tennessee Titans game versus the New Orleans Saints.
As the clock ran out on the Saints 22-17 victory, the Texans celebration in the locker room began.
Since the Texans inaugural season in 2002, they have come close to the playoffs but could never quite make it over the hump.
This year is different. Finally!
