December Blows for College Football Fans

For college football fans, December is a terrible month for two or three weeks because there is no football.
All of the championship games have been played, the Bowl games have been decided and now there are no major college football games for at least a couple of weeks to a month depending on which team or teams a person roots for.
Personally, I have always thought that there should not be such a lull and that the time between the last scheduled games and the bowl games should be closer.
But then they would not be able to cram all the bowl games into the week between Christmas and New Years Day.
It still makes me feel a bit Scroogey though with no football and nothing on TV on Saturdays but Christmas specials at this time of the year.
Bah Humbug!
