After losing three of their last four games after starting out the season 8-0, No. 20 Clemson got their mojo back and whipped No. 5 Virginia Tech 38-10 in Charlotte N.C. to claim the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship title.

The game was tied 10-10 at the half but the Clemson Tigers came out roaring in the second half, scoring 28 points on their first four possessions in the third quarter, three of them on five plays in a span of 4:24.

Virginia Tech lost only two games this season, both to Clemson who also defeated them 23-3 on Oct. 1. Clemson becomes the only team to beat Virginia Tech twice in the same season.

Quarterback Tajh Boyd was 21 of 30 for 246 yards with three touchdown passes and a rushing touchdown and was named MVP of the game. Running back Andre Ellington ran for 122 yards including a 29- yard touchdown.
