Texans sign Jake Delhomme
After losing both Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart for the season due to injuries, the Houston Texans signed veteran Jake Delhomme on Tuesday, who will back up rookie T.J. Yates, against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.
The Texans have newly signed Kellen Clemens, who they picked up last week after learning that Schaub was out for the season with a foot injury, and now Leinart goes down for the season with a broken collarbone in his first game taking over for Schaub.
For a team hoping to make the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, the Texans will have to do it with two quarterbacks unfamiliar with the playbook and a rookie starter.
