Will the Colts be the Next 0-16 Team?
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday November 28 2011
It’s almost hard to believe that just a couple years ago the Indianapolis Colts were in the Super Bowl. Now the team is staring the NFL’s second 0-16 record in the face with the probability of them achieving that dubious distinction rather close after Sunday’s loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Even if the team was playing at its best, the road would not be an easy one. Up next is their main rival, the New England Patriots; even with the Patriots defense playing as bad as they are the Colts will have a steep road to climb against a Tom Brady-led team.
Following the Patriots will be the Ravens. Baltimore’s offense may be hit or miss on any given Sunday, but the defense will be licking its chops at the prospect of facing Curtis Painter.
Even without a proven quarterback, the Texans running game and defense will be too much for the Colts as will the resurgent offense of the Titans.
That will leave the last game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars who beat the Colts already this season.
The 2012 season will not come soon enough for Colts fans.
