Chiefs Claim Kyle Orton
Written by Nolan Thomas, Wednesday November 23 2011
Kyle Orton was claimed Wednesday by the Kansas City Chiefs meaning the quarterback will remain in the AFC West.
The Chiefs were in the market for a veteran quarterback after losing Matt Cassel to an injury to his throwing hand which ended his season.
Orton’s former team, the Chicago Bears also tried to claim him with the recent injury to Jay Cutler, but the Chiefs were higher on the wavier list.
The Dallas Cowboys also put in a claim in what some are saying was an attempt to prevent Orton from going to the Bears because of the playoff race.
