Without a Doubt, Devin Hester is a Hall of Famer [VIDEO]
Written by Nolan Thomas, Tuesday November 15 2011
After Chicago Bears return man extraordinaire Devin Hester did it once again on Sunday with his NFL record 12th career punt return for a touchdown against the Lions, there is no doubt that he deserves to be in the football Hall of Fame once his career comes to an end.
Hester is still in his prime and as long as teams keep kicking to him, which they continue to do for some reason, he will most likely add to his overall total of 18 career touchdown returns, which is just one behind all-time leader Deion (Prime Time) Sanders.
Yes people will argue that there are no “Return Specialists” in the Hall of Fame, but isn’t the HOF supposed to be for players who are the best at their position and excel at what they do?
Sure, Hester is not the best receiver in the game, but as far as kick returns there is no player in the history of the NFL that even comes close to what this young man has accomplished in five and a half seasons as a kick returner.
