Houston’s Playoff Hopes Take a Big Hit
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday November 14 2011
It finally looked like the Houston Texans were primed to have a stellar season. The offense is clicking regardless of injuries, and the defense has gone from worst to first. However, the latest injury might be too much to overcome.
Reports have surfaced that Texans quarterback Matt Schaub could miss the rest of the season with a significant injury that he suffered during the game with Tampa Bay Sunday. ESPN has stated Schaub is out for the season, but head coach Gary Kubiak has yet to confirm the rumor.
"There's a lot of things reported," Kubiak added. "He's going to be in a boot throughout this week, and then the evaluation process will continue.”
The team has already stated that former Heisman winner Matt Leinart will get the start in Week 12 when the Texans play one of their division rivals, the Jacksonville Jaguars.
