Patriots Take Control Of AFC East
Written by Christopher Corazon, Monday November 14 2011
The Patriots defeated the Jets on Sunday Night 37-16. With that win, they have taken control of the AFC East. They have beaten the Jets in both meetings this season, and have a game lead in the standings. The Pats are 6-3, New York is 5-4.
New England also has one of the easier schedules down the stretch. They host the Chiefs (4-5), then go to Philadelphia (3-6). Then they face the winless Colts (0-10)and the struggling Redskins (3-6). After going to Denver (4-5), they finish the season hosting the Dolphins (2-7) and the Bills (5-4). Their next six games are against teams that are below .500.
In the AFC, the Patriots are one win behind Houston and the Steelers for the best record in the conference. They did lose to the Steelers already, but they are in a position to run the table and could take control of the AFC.
