Lions Schwartz Blames Wind for Stafford’s INTs [LINK]
Written by Nolan Thomas, Monday November 14 2011
Now I have heard it all from an NFL coach as far as excuses go after a big loss.
After the Detroit Lions got blown out 37-13 against the Chicago Bears on Sunday where quarterback Matthew Stafford was intercepted four times, two which went for touchdowns, head coach Jim Schwartz blamed the wind in his post game press conference.
"It was more the wind than it was anything else," Schwartz said. "The one interception he threw, the ball moved about 3 yards on him after he threw it. It was very unpredictable wind."
"It seemed like it was gusting at all the wrong times. It was the same thing with the kicking game. All of a sudden, it came for a field-goal attempt, and it seemed like for the Bears, the wind died down."
The wind? Only a team that plays in a dome would use the wind as an excuse. Give me a break!
Listen and see the bogus excuse here.
