Panthers’ Davis: Bad Knees, Strong Heart
Written by Daniel Turner, Wednesday November 02 2011
Thomas Davis is the living embodiment that knees weren’t made for the cut and reverse of football. Having sustained his third torn ACL in week 2 of this season no one could blame Davis if he wanted out. After all, that’s three tears in two years.
But Davis isn’t anyone. His heart makes him willing to renegotiate his contract and continue his chance to play for Carolina believing that his best years are still ahead.
GM Marty Hurney is willing to believe in Davis’ heart, too, so a restructure is possible.
