Titans Need Johnson to Earn His Money
Written by Daniel Turner, Friday October 28 2011
Money may not be the root of all evil, but the Titans have to wonder if it can cause a great back to get lazy. After a 2,006 yard 2009 season that he parlayed into a $53 million extension Chris Johnson has become a pedestrian RB.
QB Matt Hasselbeck has been able to compensate for Johnson’s malaise, but with a bruised thumb on his throwing hand he may need some help from his backfield mate to avoid that eventual Colt’s victory when Tennessee hosts Indianapolis on Sunday.
