The Chargers Lost Their Big Toe
Written by Daniel Turner, Thursday October 27 2011
In “Stripes” Bill Murray tells his drill sergeant he is the squad’s big toe, the guy who keeps everything in balance. Well, when the Chargers drafted Larry English they envisioned him the same way. Unlike Murray’s Sgt. Hulka, English has been largely MIA.
That’s why it may come as no surprise to know that English has broken his foot, again, and is lost for the season.
Since his rookie year English has played in only 13 of 32 regular season games.
