Rain May Help Cardinals
Written by Christopher Corazon, Thursday October 27 2011
Game 6 of the World Series was postponed on Wednesday. Joe Torre made the call early on behalf of MLB. Some of the players felt the weather was better than it was for game 1. But clearly, officials of MLB did not want delays on what could be the final night, and they wanted to avoid a situation like the suspended game in 2008.
This delay might help the Cardinals, even though they did not contribute to the decision. They could possibly use ace Chris Carpenter for game 7. However, before they can even think about that they must win game 6, or Texas will win the Series.
