Chicago Offers Terrell Owens a Contract
Written by Nolan Thomas, Wednesday October 26 2011
Receiver Terrell Owens has been offered a contract by a Chicago football team, but it is not the Chicago Bears.
The Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League announced on Wednesday that they have extended a contract offer for the 2012 season to the flamboyant six-time NFL Pro Bowl wide receiver.
“We feel that this is an ideal time to approach the future NFL Hall of Famer, ” Rush general manager and president Gene Nudo said. “It would be a fantastic honor to add Terrell to our current roster for the 2012 season.”
Owens agent Drew Rosenhaus was taken aback when he heard about the offer saying "That's absurd. Terrell will only be playing in the NFL."
Considering that not even one NFL team showed up for Owens workout on Tuesday, Rosenhaus may want to consider the fact that the Arena League may be the only chance his client has if he wants to play football again.
