No. 23 Should Be Cubs Next Manager
Written by Nolan Thomas, Tuesday October 25 2011
The city of Chicago is a special place and has had some very special Number 23’s throughout their sports history.
Michael Jordan his airness, is the first to come to mind and Bears kick returner extraordinaire known as the Windy City Flyer, Devin Hester also should pop into your head.
For the White Sox, former third baseman and newly hired manager Robin Ventura graced the south side with the infamous number 23 and now the best and smartest move that newly hired Chicago Cubs President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein could do on the north side, is to bring back their most famous number 23 to manage the club.
Baseball Hall of Fame second baseman Ryne Sandberg is still a fan favorite who has had a very successful minor league managing career and it is time to bring him back to the big leagues as manager of the team he played for.
Number 23 is the only logical choice for the Friendly Confines.
