Donovan McNabb is out, Christian Ponder is in
Written by Travis Pulver, Tuesday October 18 2011
Donovan McNabb was going to be the stop-gap between the Favre Era and the Christian Ponder Era this season. As it turns out, the Ponder Era is going to be starting a lot sooner than expected.
After watching Ponder play a little in the Sunday Night loss to the Bears, the Vikings have decided to bench McNabb and start Ponder, at least for next week.
McNabb has been largely ineffective the whole season en route to a 1-5 record, much like he was last year in Washington.
