Raiders on the Hunt for a New Quarterback
Written by Travis Pulver, Monday October 17 2011
Defenses around the league need to make “Another One Bite’s the Dust” their collective anthem for this season with the way they keep knocking out quarterbacks.
Jason Campbell, the signal caller for the Oakland Raiders is the latest one to go down with a serious injury this season. Against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday he broke his collarbone after landing on his shoulder when hit after a scramble.
Kyle Boller finished the game for the Raiders, leading the team to a 24-17 over the Browns. The Raiders are now 4-2 on the season and off to their best start in years.
The best case scenario for Campbell is six weeks, although it would not be surprising if he was done for the season. That leaves the Raiders with just Boller and Terrelle Pryor listed at QB.
"If you're a quarterback out there and you want to come play for the Raiders give us a call," Raiders head coach Hue Jackson said Monday.
