The Texas Rangers are going back to the World Series. They are the first team to repeat as American League Champions since the Yankees won every year from 1998-2001. Their second ALCS win came thanks to MVP Nelson Cruz.

In the old days, they called Reggie Jackson "Mr. October" because of his five homers in the World Series. Perhaps they could call Cruz "Senor Octubre" after he broke Jackson's record. Cruz became the first player to hit six homers in the playoffs. Cruz hit a walk off grand slam in game 2 during the 11th inning. It was the first winning slam in MLB playoff history. Cruz hit another 11th inning shot in game 4.

The Rangers will start the series in either Milwaukee or St. Louis on Wednesday. Last year, the Rangers won a playoff series for the first time. This year, they hope to take it all.

CC, the title of article was very clever and the article itself was well written as always. But, and you just knew there was a but, Chase Utley also had five home runs in the 2009 World Series. It's just too bad those cheating Steroidees stole that series.
